Should Americans Be Poorer?
The above question is discussed at NRO Corner, inspired by the latest excuses for the likelihood of fewer jobs as a result of the “Affordable” Care Act. I'm reminded of the State of the Union message in Missing Man by Katherine MacLean:
For the third year in a row we have reduced the gross national product by more than five percent. Everyone is trying hard to reduce consumption and learn repair skills. Gross National measures of Use Value have risen slightly or held their own. The quality of life is still improving.How many Obamacare supporters does it take to change a light bulb?
