Less Wrong vs. XKCD
From Less Wrong:
A possible reaction from the mouse-over text of the latest XKCD:The short answer: It's very much like how a few minutes of philosophical reflection trump a few millennia of human cultural tradition.
I mean, what's more likely -- that I have uncovered fundamental flaws in this field that no one in it has ever thought about, or that I need to read a little more? Hint: it's the one that involves less work.
Addendum: It looks like that XKCD hit a nerve.
Addendum II: How far can we take this recursion?

Hmm. So Less Wrong is saying: The fact anyone believes in Christianity proves humans are incredibly poor at assessing truth. The fact I reject Christianity proves I am infinitely better at assessing truth. Therefore my half hour researching the Amanda Knox trial on the Internet trumps months of the jury listening to the evidence thoroughly explained by lawyers?
There are so many unfounded assumptions and non sequiturs in that attitude that the appelation "Less Wrong" is hilarious.
