Yet another weird SF fan

I'm a mathematician, a libertarian, and a science-fiction fan. Common sense? What's that?

Not Every Atheist Is a Darwinist

The subtitle of The Prime Directive is “Do not impose harm. Atheism – Anarchism – Antinatalism”. (The brand of anarchism is question is that which regards property rights as imposed by governments, earlier criticized here.)

In the other direction, not every Darwinist is an atheist.

Not sure what you mean. The term "Darwinist" is a pejorative used by Creationists to smear people who accept evolution (at any rate, no one studies "Darwinism" any more since it has been called Neo-Darwinism ever since the discovery of DNA). I certainly do believe that the theory of evolution is correct, if that's what you mean. So your assessment seems to be incorrect.

As for you "refuting" me on the basis of gun control, I actually haven't written anything about my position on gun control yet. You seem to assume I am for gun control. This is not a fair representation of my position: I actually have a much more subtle position than that. A priori I am not for or against gun control, and I think both sides woefully simplify and distort the debate. For more than that, however, you'll have to wait.

Incidentally, I note that you are anti-abortion. You might be interested in my upcoming series on abortion, which will start on January 1st. It will be a direct attack on both the pro-choice and the anti-abortion ideologies.

My children will be able to piss on the graves of antinatalists.

Yes, very witty. Obviously an insult always trumps rational arguments. Very droll.

I'm against gun control, but I agree that both sides oversimplify and distort the debate.
