Yet another weird SF fan

I'm a mathematician, a libertarian, and a science-fiction fan. Common sense? What's that?

Why We Need Muslim Immigration

In San Francisco, there's a ballot measure to ban circumcision:

San Francisco residents may vote on a ballot measure next year that would outlaw circumcision.

The initiative, which requires 7,000 signatures before it can be added to next November's ballot, would make it a misdemeanor to "circumcise, excise, cut or mutilate the...genitals" of all minors, and would not make exceptions for religious reasons.

The decision to permanently remove a boy's foreskin should not be made by parents, says Lloyd Shofield, the proposal's author.

I suspect this wouldn't get very far if we had more Muslim immigrants.

Circumcision removes the most sensitive part of a man's penis. The five most sensitive areas of the penis are on the foreskin. The transitional region from the external to the internal foreskin is the most sensitive region of the fully intact penis, and more sensitive than the most sensitive region of the circumcised penis.

You have me mistaken for someone who cares.

5,630 people cared enough to comment on this issue on the HP article. I suspect a lot of men who state they don't care are giving the teenage "I don't care" response. I don't have a dog in this hunt but men were born with it and it probably is healthier to keep all your parts.

I wanted to write that I love your arrogant answer. I find it interesting that people who are smart have the nerve to be so dismissive. Was this not your article, and are you not inviting comments by having a post a reply section?

I'm tempted to write what I have observed It is a common denominator of the very intelligent and equally obtuse: A shared foolishness in electing to be dismissive of the thoughts of others.

Given that reduced sensitivity in the man probably increases the likelihood that he will satisfy his female partner before climaxing, I'm unclear why any heterosexual feminists are on board with this.

Heterosexual feminists are smart enough to make sure they orgasm first. Seriously, if you actually care for your partner, you want him to have the best orgasm too.
